「MILK & TEA FAIR」

Nippon Tea Ambassadors Association Press Release
~Enjoy Nippon’s tea lattes! ~ ~Japanese tea

On October 5 and 6, five Japanese tea producers from all over Japan will gather to serve tea lattes.

Proposing a lifestyle of combining Japanese tea and milk at home

The Japan Tea Ambassadors Association (President: Yoko Mitsuki, hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) will hold the “MILK & TEA FAIR” at the JAPAN RAIL CAFÉ TOKYO in Tokyo Station from October 5 (Saturday) to November 4 (Monday). The “MILK & TEA FAIR” will be held at JAPAN RAIL CAFÉ TOKYO in Tokyo Station for one month from October 5 (Sat.) to November 4 (Mon.).

The MILK & TEA FAIR is sponsored by the Japan Agricultural Cooperative Federation (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshifumi Kuwata; hereinafter “JA-Zenno”), the Norinchukin Bank (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuto Oku; hereinafter “Norinchukin”) and JR East Cross Station Co. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Fumitaka Nishino), and JR East Cross Station Co.

On October 5 (Sat.) and 6 (Sun.), five Japanese tea producers from across Japan will gather at the opening event to serve tea lattes combined with agricultural cooperative milk.

Through a tie-up with JAPAN RAIL CAFE TOKYO, which is popular among inbound customers, the fair will promote the appeal of domestically produced milk and tea not only in Japan but also overseas, and propose a lifestyle of combining Japanese tea and milk at home.

During the fair, the milk used in the store is Noukyou Milk (produced and sold by Kyodo Dairy Industry Co., Ltd.), which is characterized by its “refreshing aftertaste” created by a unique manufacturing process. All milk-based drinks, including the regular menu items “Matcha Latte” and “Hojicha Latte,” can be tasted with Noukyou Milk.

In collaboration with Senchado Tokyo, a single-origin sencha specialty store that supervises the Japanese tea menu at JAPAN RAIL CAFE TOKYO, “Tea Latte made with rich milk prepared with agricultural cooperative milk” will also be offered as a limited menu item, and “Sencha for agricultural cooperative milk” used in the tea latte will be available in limited quantities. The tea latte is also available for purchase in limited quantities.
